Agenda:
1. Call to Order
Chair Piecewicz called the meeting to order at 5:30 PM.
2. Roll Call
Commissioner Weissich had an excused absence.
3. Changes to the Agenda
There were no changes to the agenda.
4. Approval of the Minutes
Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve the minutes from the
November 16, 2022 regularly scheduled Civil Service Commission
meeting. Motion was moved and seconded by Chair Piecewicz; motion
passed 2-0.
5. Consent Items to Accept
A. Memo and corresponding letter dated November 17, 2022 announcing the
promotion of Matt Wheeler to the rank of Probationary Commander effective
December 1, 2022.
B. Memo and corresponding letter dated November 17, 2022 announcing the
promotion of Justin Davis to the rank of Probationary Sergeant effective
December 1, 2022.
C. Letter dated November 22, 2022 from Chief Padilla to Isher Hans congratulating
him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer effective February 1,
2023.
D. Letter dated December 1, 2022 from Chief Padilla notifying Sgt. Peter Stewart
that he successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to
regular employment status effective December 1, 2022.
E. Memo dated December 8, 2022 from Chief Padilla noting the medical separation
of Ofr. Jonathan Johnson effective December 15, 2022.

F. Letter dated December 16, 2022 from Chief Padilla notifying Autumn Heerspink
that she successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to
regular employment status as a Corrections Officer effective December 15, 2022.
G. Letters dated December 16, 2022 from Chief Padilla notifying Joshua Lamothe,
David Jones and Brian Sunderland that they successfully completed the
probationary period and are appointed to regular employment status as a Police
Officer effective December 16, 2022.
H. Letter dated December 21, 2022 from Chief Padilla to Anthony Blackwell
congratulating him on being hired as a Probationary Police Recruit Officer
effective February 1, 2023.
I. Letter dated January 2, 2023 from Chief Padilla notifying Grace Huntley that she
successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to regular
employment status as a Corrections Officer effective January 2, 2023.
J. Letter dated January 3, 2023 from Chief Padilla notifying Sgt. Landon Meyer that
he successfully completed the probationary period and is appointed to regular
employment status effective January 1, 2023.
K. Memo dated January 18, 2023 from Chief Padilla accepting the resignation of Ofr.
Alexandra DeMarinis effective November 30, 2022.
L. Memo dated January 18, 2023 from Chief Padilla accepting the resignation of Ofr.
Anne Aspelund effective January 5, 2023.
M. Memo dated January 20, 2023 from Chief Examiner Winecka detailing the
eligibility list removals through January 20, 2023.
Chair Piecewicz made a motion to accept items A-M. Commissioner Thomas
seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0.
6. Items to Approve
A. Continuous testing eligibility list for Entry Level Police Officer that was
established on November 14, 2022.
B. Continuous testing eligibility list for Entry Level Police Officer that was
established on December 23, 2022.
C. Continuous testing eligibility list for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that
was established on December 23, 2022.
D. Continuous testing eligibility list for Lateral/Experienced Police Officer that
was established on January 6, 2023.
E. Eligibility list for the rank of Sergeant that was established on January 19,
2023.
F. Extension of probation for Ofr. Krishan Kumar until March 1, 2024.

There being no questions, Commissioner Thomas made a motion to approve
items A-F. Chair Piecewicz seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0.
7. Action Items
There were no action items.
B. For the Good of the Order
Commissioner Thomas noted that she would not be in attendance at the February
meeting.
9. Adjournment
There being nothing further, Chair Piecewicz made a motion to adjourn.
Commissioner Thomas seconded the motion; motion passed 2-0. Meeting was
adjourned at 5:33 PM.
