HomeMy WebLinkAbout1992RESOLUTION NO. 1992 A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the Cityof Kent, Washington designating the Crystal Mountain Hall in the Kent Commons located at 525 Fourth Avenue North, Kent, WA 98032, as the temporary meeting location for regular meetings of the City Council until the Council Chambers located in City Hall becomes available. RECITALS A. Kent City Code 2.OL.OTO(A) provides, "The regular and other meetings of the city council shall be held in the council chambers at the City Hall unless otherwise designated by majority of the city council at a regular or special meeting." B. The City Hall chamber meeting room is currently under renovation and will be unavailable for meetings of the City Council for the month of September 2Ot9 and possibly longer. This resolution designates the Crystal Mountain Hall in the Kent Commons located at 525 Fourth Avenue North, Kent, WA 98032, as the temporary meeting location for regular meetings of the City Council until the Council Chambers located in City Hall becomes available. NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: RESOLUTION SECTION 7' - Recitals Incorporated. The foregoing recitals are incorporated into the body of this resolution and constitute the findings of the Kent City Council on this matter. 1 Temp. Change in Council Meeting Location SECTION 2. Temporary Meeting Location for Regular Council Meetings. The Crystal Mountain Hall in the Kent Commons located at 525 Fourth Avenue North, Kent, WA 98032, shall constitute the temporary meeting location for regular meetings of the City Council until the Council Chambers located in City Hall becomes available. SECTION 3. - Severability. If any one or more section, subsection, or sentence of this resolution is held to be unconstitutional or invalid, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining poftion of this resolution and the same shall remain in full force and effect. SECTION 4, - Corrections by City Clerk Upon approval of the city attorney, the city clerk is authorized to make necessary corrections to this resolution, including the correction of clerical errors; resolution, section, or subsection numbering; or references to other local, state, or federal laws, codes, rules, or regulations.
