A RESOLUTION of the city council of the
city of Kent, Washmgton, recognizing the Pantera
Lago Neighborhood Council.
RECITALS
A. The City of Kent has developed a Neighborhood Program to
promote and sustam an environment that responds to residents by building
partnerships between the City and 1ts res1dents. In add1t1on, the City of
Kent encourages residents to work together to form geographically distinct
neighborhood counc1ls as a means to foster commumcation among
residents and to enhance their sense of commumty.
B. The City of Kent recognizes and supports neighborhood
councils by endorsing a process to establish neighborhood boundaries,
approve neighborhood counc1ls, and prov1de neighborhood grant matching
program opportunities to make Improvements 1n defmed neighborhoods.
C. The Pantera Lago neighborhood consists of one hundred and
eighty-eight households. The res1dents belong to the Pantera Lago
Neighborhood Association and are bound by its covenants.

D. The Pantera Lago Neighborhood is located on the East Hill and came
into the City as part of the Panther Lake annexat1on area. The
Neighborhood is shown on Exh1b1t A attached hereto and mcorporated
herem. It is legally described on Exhibit B attached hereto and
incorporated herein.
E. On November 18, 2010, the Pantera Lago Neighborhood submitted
an offic1al registration form to request that the City recognize the Pantera
Lago Neighborhood Council and to allow the Neighborhood to take part m
the City's Neighborhood Program.
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION
SECTION 1. -Recognition of Neighborhood Council. -The City
Counc1l for the City of Kent hereby acknowledges the effort and
commitment of the Pantera Lago neighborhood and all those who
participated in formmg the Pantera Lago Neighborhood Council. The Kent
City Counc1l hereby recognizes Pantera Lago as an official Neighborhood
Council of the City of Kent, supports Pantera Lago commumty building
efforts, and confers on the Pantera Lago Neighborhood Council all
opportumt1es offered by the City's Neighborhood Program.
SECTION 2. -Severabilitv. If any section, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, clause or phrase of th1s resolution IS declared unconstitutional or
invalid for any reason, such decision shall not affect the val1d1ty of the
remaming portions of th1s resolution.

SECTION 3. -Ratification. Any act consistent with the authority
and prior to the effect1ve date of this resolut1on is hereby ratified and
affirmed.
SECTION 4. -Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect and
be in force 1mmed1ately upon its passage.
