A RESOLUTION of the City council of the City of
Kent, Washmgton, recogn1zmg the Autumn Glen
Neighborhood Council.
RECITALS
A. The City of Kent has developed a Neighborhood Program to promote
and susta1n an environment that responds to res1dents by bu1ldmg partnerships
between the City and 1ts res1dents. In add1t1on, the City of Kent encourages
residents to work together to form geographically d1stmct neighborhood councils
as a means to foster commumcat1on among res1dents and to enhance the1r sense
of community.
B. The City of Kent recogmzes and supports neighborhood councils by
endorsmg a process to establish neighborhood boundanes, approve neighborhood
councils, and prov1de neighborhood grant matchmg program opportun1t1es to make
Improvements m defmed neighborhoods.
C. The Autumn Glen neighborhood, wh1ch IS bounded to the north by
272nd Street SE, to the east by lOS'h Avenue SE, to the south by 273'd Place SE,
and to the west by 104th Avenue SE, cons1sts of 20 housmg umts. On May 7,
2007, the Autumn Glen neighborhood completed and turned In an off1c1al
reg1strat1on form requesting that the City recogn1ze the Autumn Glen
Neighborhood Council, allow1ng 1t to take advantage of all the opportumt1es offered
by the City's Neighborhood Program, mclud1ng the City's grant matchmg program.

NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION
SECTION 1. -Recoqmtton of Netqhborhood Council. -The City Council for
the City of Kent hereby acknowledges the effort and commitment of the Autumn
Glen neighborhood and all those who partiCipated 1n form1ng the Autumn Glen
Neighborhood Council. The Kent City Council hereby recognizes Autumn Glen as
an off1c1al Neighborhood Council of the City of Kent, supports Autumn Glen's
commun1ty bu1ldmg efforts, and confers on the Autumn Glen Neighborhood Council
all opportun1t1es offered by the City's Neighborhood Program.
SECTION 2. -Severabt!tty. If any sect1on, subsection, paragraph,
sentence, clause or phrase of th1s resolution IS declared unconst1tut1onal or 1nval1d
for any reason, such deCISIOn shall not affect the val1d1ty of the remammg port1ons
of th1s resolution.
SECTION 3. -RattftcatJOn. Any act cons1stent w1th the authonty and pnor
to the effective date of th1s resolution IS hereby rat1f1ed and affirmed.
SECTION 4. -Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect and be 1n
force 1mmed1ately upon 1ts passage.
PASSED at a regular open public meetmg by the c1ty council of the c1ty of
Kent, Washmgton, th1s /9 day of June, 2007.
