A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City
of Kent, Washington, amending the schedule of fees for
permits and plan review conducted under the provisions of
the International Fire Code.
RECITALS
A. By its adoption of Resolution No. 1676 on May 4, 2004, the City
Council established a schedule of fees applicable to permits, certificates, and
inspections issued and conducted under the International Building Code, the
International Residential Code, the International Mechamcal Code, the Uniform
Plumbing Code, and the International Fire Code.
B. It is appropriate to amend the schedule of fees relating to these
International Codes in order to add additional fees for development plan review, land
use application review, and permit fees required under the International F1re Code
and/or the Kent City Code that were not included in Resolution No. 1676.
C. The amended schedule of fees in this resolution has been proposed by
the City's building code official and fire code official, and includes the cost of
administration involved in the review of land use applications and development plans
and in the processing, issuance, and renewal of permits.
1 Amended Fee Schedule Under the
International Fire Code
NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
RESOLUTION
SECTION 1.-Fees Amended Section 1(D) of Resolution No. 1676, adopted
on May 4, 2004, is amended as follows:
D. International Fire Code-Fire permit and plan revzew fees Pursuant to
Section 13.01.110 of the Kent City Code, the fees to be assessed for development plan
review, land use application review, fire permits or certificates, and related inspections
under the International Fire Code shall be as set forth in Exhibit "D," which is
attached and incorporated into this resolution.
SECTION 2.-Exhibit Superceded. On the effective date of this resolution, the
attached and revised Exhibit "D" shall supersede in its entirety Exhibit "D" attached to
Resolution No. 1676.
SECTION 3. -Savings. Resolution No. 1676 and the fees established in
Exhibit "D" to that resolution, which are repealed and replaced by this resolution, shall
remain in full force and effect until the effective date of this resolution.
SECTION 4. -Severability. If any section, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause or phrase of this resolution is declared unconstitutional or invalid for any
reason, such decision shall not affect the validity of the remaining portions of this
resolution.
2 Amended Fee Schedule Under the
International Fire Code
SECTION 5. -Effective Date. This resolution shall take effect and be in force
thirty (30) days from and after its passage.
PASSED at a regular open public meeting by the City Council of the City of
