A RESOLUTION of the C1ty Counctl of the C1ty
of Kent, Washmgton, amendmg ResolutiOn No 1200 to
clanfy use of C1ty credJt cards to mclude authonzed non-
travel related purchases
WHEREAS, on Apnl 18, 1989, the C1ty Counc1l adopted ResolutiOn No
1200, wh1ch allowed for employee use ofC1ty cred1t cards, and
WHEREAS, 1t 1s appropnate to amend ResolutiOn No 1200 to bnng 1t
mto conform1ty WJth ex1stmg C1ty practice by clanfymg employee C1ty credJt card use
for other non-travel purchases m order to reduce costs associated with processmg
requlSltJOns, purchase orders, and accounts payable; NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON
DOES HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
SECTION I. -Amendment. Sect10n 5 of Resolution No. 1200 1s hereby
amended as follows

department d1rector C1ty cred1t cards may be used for travel and non-
travel related purchases, at the d1scret10n of the department d1rector. or Ins

SECTION 2. -Severabzbty If any section, subsectiOn, paragraph,
sentence, clause, or phrase of tlns resolutiOn 1s declared unconstlrutwnal or mvahd for
any reason, such deciSion shall not affect the vahdJ.ty of the remammg portiOns of this
resolutiOn
SECTION 3. -Ratzticatwn Any act consistent w1th the authonty and
pnor to the effective date of th1s resolution IS hereby ratified and affirmed
SECTION 4. -Etfectzve Date. Tlus resolutiOn shall take effect and be m
force 1mmedJ.ately upon 1ts passage
