A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of
Kent, Washington, authonzmg applicatiOn to the
Interagency Conmuttee for Outdoor RecreatiOn (IAC) for
fundmg assistance pursuant to the Washington Wildlife and
Recreation Program as provided form Chs 79A 10 and
79A 15 RCW.
WHEREAS, the City of Kent has approved a Comprehensive Park and
Recreation Plan for the area that mcludes the Momll Meadows Park AcquiSitiOn, and
WHEREAS, under the provisiOns of the Washmgton Wildlife and
RecreatiOn Program, state and federal fundmg assistance has been requested to a1d m
financmg the cost of land and facilities for local public bodies, and
WHEREAS, the City of Kent considers It m the best pubhc mterest to
acqmre additional property between Momll Meadows Conmmmty Park and East Hill Park,
NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS
1 The Director of Parks, RecreatiOn & Commumty Services IS authonzed to make
formal application to IAC for fundmg assistance

2 Any fund assistance received Will be used for tbe acqms1t10n of property for the
Momll Meadows Park
3 The C1ty of Kent anticipates that 1ts share of project fundmg Will be denved from
Capital Improvement Program funds
4 The C1ty of Kent acknowledges 1t must support all non-cash com!llltments to the
local share should they not matenahze
5 The C1ty of Kent acknowledges that any property acqmred or fac1hty developed
w1th lAC financ1al md must be placed muse as an outdoor recreatwn fac1hty and
be retmned m such use m perpetmty unless otherw1se provided and agreed to by the
C1ty of Kent, lAC, and any affected federal agency
6 T1us resolutiOn may become part of a fo!lllal apphcatwn to lAC
7 The C1ty of Kent w1ll provide appropnate opportumty for pubhc comment on th1s
apphcatwn
