The following resolutionwas presented,and on motion was passed
by unanimous vote of the council:
II RESOLUTION NO.~
I WHEREAS an ordinance fixing the salaries of certain employees

of the city of Kent,has been presented to the City Council,
&hich ordinance provides for adcitional appropriations for the

fayman• of such salaries, and also declares an emergency,
~ It is therefore eesolved that the 2nd.day of April at 8 ~~ cloo
M. at the Council Chambers of the City Council at a regular
eting of the city counoil,be and are fixed as the time for
~ing upon theeaid ojdinance,and the City Clerk is hereby di-
r ted to give notice of such hearing in the form and manner re-
