WHEREAS;The following named persons,to-wit ;Irving C.Clark and Grace
Clerk,his wife;Lawrence Clerk end Vero Clerk,his wife;Walter Clerk
and Eve May Clerk,his wife;and Stuart Kingma end Lizzie Kingma,his
wife,by ~uit Claim Deed made on the 7th.day of March,l944 conveyed
to the City of Kent for Road end Street purposes,the following
described tract of Land:
Beginning at the intersection of the south line of
Smith Street in the said City of Kent,King County
Weshington,with the west line of Section l9,1n
Township 22 North,Range 5 East W.M;Running thence
easterly along the south line of said Smith Street
30 ft;thence south,paralleling the said west line
of said section 19,240 feet to the North Line of
Ward Street produced,in the said City of Kent;Thence
westerly along said North Line 17.6 feet;thence South
paralleling said Section Line 300.00 feet to the North
line of Meeker Street produced;thence westerly along
said north line 12.4 feet to the said Section line;
Thence North following the said section line 540 feet
to the point of beginning.
and WHEREAS Kennebeck Avenue in the said City,extending from the
said Smith Street on the North,to the North line of Meeker Street,
is a narrow street and it is to the interest of the public that
the same should be widened,end the addition of the above described
tract to the said portion of Kennebeck Street is necessary to widen
the same and make it suitable for street and road purposes, it is
THEREFORE resolved that the City do and it does hereby accept the
conveyance of the said described tract for street and road purposes.
