WBEREAS,the City of Kent has available tunds,without the immediate
necessity for the use thereof,in the Current Expense Fund,the
Street Fund,Park Fund,War Liquor Tax Fund,State Aid Fund,and the
Cumulative Building Fund;
And it is deemed advisable b' the City Council thatrJnoney from the
said several funds be invested in United States Government War
Bonds in the aggregate amount of Twenty three thousand dollars,
( $ 23,000.00 ).
It is therefore resolved by the City Council,in regular meeting
assembled,that the City of Kent do purchase United States
Government War Bonds of Series G in the aggregate sum of $23,000.00
in denominations of $1,000.00 each,paying therefore from the,
CUrrent Expense Fund Seven Thousand Dollars,($7,000.00) from the
Street Fund Seven Thousand Dollars,(7,000.00) from the Park Fund
Two Thousand Dollars,(2,000.00 ) from the War Liquor Tax Fund,
Four Thousand Dollars,($4,000.00) from the State Aid Fund,Two
Thousand Dollars, ($2,000.00 ) from the Cumulative Building Fund
One Thousand Dollars, ( $ 1,000.00 )and the City Treasurer of the
City of Kent,is hereby authorised and directed to draw from the
said funds above named the several amounts specified and purchase
United States Government War Bonds of Series G,as above set forth
in the tull sum of $ 23,ooo.oo,paying for same with the funds so
withdrawn from the said several funds aforementioned.
Such bonds when received to be placed with the custodian of the
Cities Funds end Securities for sate keeping.
