RESOLUTION ~tr$
LIMITED ACCESS HIGHWAY
WHEREAS a proposed plan of access control has been prepared in accordance
with the instructions of the Washington State Highway Commission for a portion
of Primary State Highway No. l, Pierce County Line to Jet. SSH No. 5-A; and
WHEREAS a portion of the proposed highway improvement lies within the
City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provisions of Chapter 235, Session Laws of 19571
the proposed plan of access was presented at a public hearing held in the
City of Kent on October 22, 1958 for an expression on the desirability of the
plan; and
WHEREAS there appeared to be no local opposition, either from City officials
or other persons in attendance; and
WHEREAS there being no modification proposed at the public hearing, the
Washington State Highway Commission passed Resolution No. Z..4 .![ on
November 17, l958 which adopted the plan of access control as submitted at the
public hearing; and
WHEREAS time is of the essence for the acquisition of rights of way and
subsequent construction of the Seattle-Tacoma Freeway of which this is a
part;
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, in accordance with the provisions of
ROW 47.52.020 et seq., that the City of Kent, acting through its officers
and authorities, does hereby consent to the establishment of limited access
on the follov.tng described portion of Primary State Higb:way No. 1 within the
corporate limits of the City of Kent:
From approximate Highway Engineer's Station 2209+50 on the south
corporate line of the City of Kent to approximate Highway Engineer 1 s
Station 2228+00 on the easterly corporate line of the City of Kent,
all lying within the east half of Section 21 and the -west half of
Section 22 1 Township 22 North, Range 4 East, w. l~.
in accordance with the plan entitled "Primary State Highw.y No. 1 1 Pierce
County Line to Jet. SSH No. 5-A 1 Plan Show.l.ng Access," sheet 5 of 6 sheets,
approved by the Director of Highways on July 15, 1958, a print of which plan
is hereto attached and made a part of this resolution; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution shall be trans-
mitted to the Washington State Highway Commission at O}Smpia, Washington.
