RESOLUTION NO. _3tL -3
WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75% in value, according
to the assessed value for general taxation, of the property
hereinafter described, have petitioned the City Council of the
City of Kent to have said described property annexed by the
City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, said petition is accompanied by a plat which
outlines the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed;
and
WHEREAS, the said petition sets forth a description of the
property according to government legal subdivisions or legal
plats, and
vJHEREAS, the property sought to be annexed is described
as follows, to-wit:
PARCEL 1., in King county, \'.Ja shington:
Beginning at a point which is 145-7.3 feet south of the north-
. west corner of Section 18, in Township 22 North of Range 5 east
of the Willamette Meridian, thence south 264 feet, thence east
495 feet, thence north 264 feet, thence west 495 feet to the
beginning, except the west 30 feet thereof dedicated for a county
road; also Beginning at the northwest corner of the SEi:-of the N\-1&
of said Section 18 thence east along the north line of the said SEi:-
. of the NW~ of said section lB,a distance of 1320 ft.more or less
to the northeast corner of said SEt of the NW~ of said Section 18,
thence south along the east line of said SEt of the NWt of said
Section 18 a distance of 404.25 feet more or less, thence west 1320
feet more or less to the east line of government Lot 2 in said
Section l8,thence south on the east line of said lot 2, a distance
of 179.04 ft. more or less; thence west 1188 ft.,more or less to
the west line of said Section 18;thcnce north along the west line
of said s~ction l8:a distance of 180 feet more or less, thence east
495 ft.,thence north 264 ft.;thence east 693 ft.,more ar less
to the west line of said SBt of the NWt of said section 18; thence
north on the west line of said SEt of the NWt of said Section 18 a
distance of 139.29 ft. more or less to the pdnt of beginning,
being a total area of the above described lands of 23.95 acres
more or less and located in lot 2 and the SEt of the NWk of said
Section 18, 1 : s dJ ·i,•et; iiE J., ri:;!d; of l!Sy. EXCEPT that portion
thereof heretofore annexed by the City of Kent.

Tracts one (lL two (2), three (3), four (L~) and five (5),
Shinn;s Gard3n Addition to Kent, according to plat thereof.
PARCEL 3. in King County, Washington:
The northwest quarter of the southv-1est quarter of the northeast
quarter, Section eighteen (18), Township twenty-two (22) north
range five (5) east W.M. '
PARCEL 4. in King County, Washington:
The north half of Goverrunent Lot One (1) and the north half
of the northeast quarter of the northwest quarter of section
eighteen (18) in Township twenty-two (22) north, range five (5)

WHEREAS, the said described land lies in an unincorporated
1 area of the county and is contiguous to the City of Kentj
IT IS THEREFORE RESOLVED that Monday, the 16th day of
, December, 1957, is fixed as the d3y and the hour of 8:00 o'clock
P.M. is fixed as the time, and the council chambers of the City
Hall of the City of Kent is fixed as the place, for hearing on
said petition, and all persons interested are invited to appear
and voice approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation
of the said property to the City of Kent.
IT IS FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Clerk give due and
legal notice of said hearing as required by law.
PASSED BY THE CITY COUNCIL in regular meeting assembled
this 18th day of Ncvember, 1957.
