2 WHEREAS, the owners of not less than 75% in value (accord-
3 ing to the assessed valuation for general taxation) of the land
4 hereinafter described, have peititloned the City Council of the
5 City of Kent to have said described property annexed by the
6 City of Kent, and
7 WHEREAS, said petition is accompanied by a plat which
e outlines the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
9 WHEREAS, the said petition sets forth a description of the

I 10 property according to government legal subdivisions, and
11 WHEREAS, the property sought to be annexed is described
12 as follows:

Beginning 810.48 feet east and 2914.56 feet south of the
northwest corner of Samuel W. Russell Donation Claim No. 41,
Section twent~-four (24), township twent¥-two (22) north
range four {4) east, W.M.; thence south 82.5 feet to the Whi e
River; thence northeasterly along river 198 feet to south
line of County Road; thence west to point of beginning.
Beginning at a point on the east line of the Cavanaugh Tract
and the south line of the County Road which is 810.48 feet,
more or less, and 2914.56 feet, more or less, south of the
northwest corner of the Samuel W. Russell Donation Land Clai
No. 41, thence south to the White River, thence westerly alo
the north bank of the White River to the easterly line of th
Chicago, Milwaukee, St. Paul and Pacific Railroad, thence
northerly along said easterly line to the southerly line of
said County Road; thence easterly along said road line to
the point of beginning.
22 It is, therefore, resolved that Monday, the 5th day of
23 December, 1955, is fixed as the day and the hour of 8:00 P.M.
24 is fixed as the time and the council chambers in the City Hall
25 of the City of Kent, is fixed as the place, for hearing on said
26 petition, and all persons interested are invited to appear and
27 voice approval or disapproval of the proposed annexation of the
28 property to the City of Kent.
29 It is further resolved that the City Clerk give due and
30 legal notice of said hearing as required by law.
