WHEREAS, the owners of c75% in value, (according to assessed
:valuati~n for general taxation) of the land hereinafter described
have petitioned the City Council of the City of Kent to have
said described property annexed by the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, said petition is accompanied by a plat which outlines
the boundaries of the property sought to be annexed, and
WHEREAS, the said petition sets forth the description of the
property according to government legal subdivisions plats, and
WHEREAS, the property sought to be annexed is described as
follows, to-wit:
Thore portiore of Sections 1, 12, and 13, Township 22 North
Range 4 East, W.M.; Section 36, Township 23 North, Range 4 East,

Beginning at the intersection of the easterly line of the
Northern Pacific RAilway Company•s Right of Way with the existing
north city limits line of the CLty of Kent; thence northerly
along the easterly line of the Northern Pacific Railway Company 1 s
Right of Way to the southerly line of South 180th. Street;
thence easterly along said southerly line to the southwesterly
line of a county road, said point being approximately 30 feet
south of the northwest corner of the southeast quarter of the
northeast quarter of said section 36, township 23 North, RAnge 4
East, W.M.; thence southeasterly, southerly, and easterly along
the southwesterly, westerly, and southerly line of said county
road to the west line of Primary State Highway No. 5, said point
being approximately 500 feet north of the south line of said
Section 36, Township 23 North, Range 4 East, W.M.j thence souther]
along the westerly line of said Primary State Highway No. 5 to
an intersection with the southerly line of Shinn•s Garden Additior
to King County, extended westerly; thence eaterly along said
southerly line to the east line of Govt. Lot 2, said Sec. 18,
Township 22 North, Range 5 East, W.M.; thence southerly along
the east line of said Govt. Lot 2 and the east line of Govt. Lot
said Section 18 to the existing northerly city limits line of
the City of K:::ntj thence westerly along said northerly line to ,
the Point of Beginning;
and,
WHEREAS, the said described land lies in an unincorporated area
'of the County, contiguous to the City of Kent; "''k
It is therefore resolved that Monday, the /J aay of
Aubust, 1955, is fixed as the day, at the hour of 8:00 o•clock
P.M. is fixed for the time, and the Council Chambers in the
City Hall of the City of Kent is fixed for the place for hearing

appear and voice approval or disapproval of the proposed
annexation of said property to the City of Kent.
It is further resolved that the City Clerk give due and
legal notice of said hearing as required by law.
