HomeMy WebLinkAbout341R~SOLUTION NO. ~ 1 2 ~~vR~AA, the City of Kent heR heretofore called for bids for 8 the the construction of e proposed sewage treatment olent for the 4 City of Kent, sEid call setting the time for opening bids for the 5 4th day of January, 1954, and said cell requiring bidding con- 6 tractors te maintain their bids for a ueriod of thirty (30) days 7 after bid opening, and 8 WHEREAS, numerous contractors have requested that the time 9 for onening of bids be extended ine~much as the holiday season 10 intervened between the de.te of cell of bids end the date set for 11 ooening thereof, making it difficult for contrectors to nrepere 12 proper bids, e.nd 18 1~HEREAS the fisca.l agents of the City of Kent have requested 14 that the 30-day time limit in which a contrc: ctor may withdraw a. 15 bid once mede be extended to 45 deys, and 16 WHEREAS it epnears for the best interests of the City of Kent 17 thet the time for opening of bids on seid nronosed sewage disnosel 18 plant be extended, end that the time limit in which a contractor 19 may withdrew his bid be extended, 20 NO\'l, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED '3Y THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE 21 CITY OF KFNT in regular meetinp· e.ssembled: 22 1. that the time for opri.ng of bi_ds for the uroposed SPWage 28 tre.strnent plent of the City of Kent be extended from January 4, 24 1954 to Je.nuary ll, 1954. 25 2.
