RESOLUTION NO. 6g C
A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent, Washing-
ton, establishing the City of Kent, Washin~
ton, as a member of the Puget Sound Govern-
mental Conference. ·
WHEREAS, the City of Kent, Washi!lgton, and its ne~ghbor-
ing cities and counties have had a past history of cooperation and
coordinated effort and financial participation undertaken to
resolve regional problems, and
WHEREAS, the counties of King, Kitsap, Pierce, and
Snohomish and the cities of Bremerton, Everett, Seattle, and
Tacoma have organized and established pursuant to s~ate law, the
Puget Sound Governmental Conference for the purpose of studyi!lg
r~gional and_ governmental problems of mutual concern; and
WHEREAS, the P~get Sound Governmental Conference has
made it possible for other cities desiri!lg to become members of
the conference to do so by provision in its Articles of Associa-
tion and By-Laws; and
WHEREAS, membership and participation in the Puget Sound
Governmental Conference is of mutual benefit to the conference and
to all municipalities within the r~gion,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City of Kent,
Washi!lgton does hereby associate as a member of the P~get Sound
Governmental Conference, and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Kent, Washi!lg-
25 ton, does hereby adopt the Articles of Association and By-Laws of he
26 P~get Sound Governmental Conference, which shall be consi~ed a
27 part of this Resolution, and
28 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the City of Kent, Washing-
29 ton may contribute to the expenses of the Puget Sound Governmental
30 Conference pursuant to the Articles of Association and By-Laws.
31 PASSED at a r~gular meeting of the Kent City Council of
32 the City October, 1967.
