RESOLUTION NO. ~ {j' S 77
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, declaring
its intention to improve the commercial
area West of North Washington Avenue
by constructing and installing public
sanitary sewer lines together with
manholes and sidesc:wers, to be
connected to the City•s sewer utility,
and to create a local improvement
district to assess the cost and expense
of carrying out such improvement
against the property sp-ecially benefited
thereby; and notifying all persons who
desire to object to the project to appear
and present their objections at a meeting
of the City Council to be held on August
7, 1967.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF KENT, WASHINGTON, as follows:
Section l. It is the intention of the Council of the City of
Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the property described
in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof,
by constructing and installing the following sewer line along the following
right-of-way:

The above described line shall be installed toget~er with
manholes and sidesewers.
All the fore going shall be in accordance with the plans and
specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer.
Sectio:!l. 2. The estimated cost of the installation of the above
described improvements and the doing of all work necessary in connection
and incidental thereto is hereby declared to be approximately $33,950.00
and it is the intention of the City Council that such cost of the improvements
be borne. by assessments levied in the manner required by law upon the real
properties benefited by the proposed improvements.
Section 3. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to
the City Council at or prior to the date fixed for the hearing on this re solu-
tiona statement of the estimated cost and expense of such improvements,
the portion thereof that should be borne by the property within the proposed
district, a statement in detail of the local improvement district assessments
outstanding and unpaid against the property in the local improvement district,
and all other data and information required by law to be so submitted.
Section 4. All persons who may desire to be heard or object
to the formation of such district are hereby notified to appear and present
such objections to a meeting of the Kent City Council to be held in the
Council Chamber of the City Hall of Kent at 8:00 PM on August 7, 1967,
which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing of matters relating to
said proposed improvement and all objections thereto and for determining
the method of paying said improvements.
The City Clerk and City ENgineer are hereby directed to
prepare and give notice of such hearing in. the manner required by law.
Passed By the City Council of the City of Kent at its regular
meeting this 17th day of July, 1967.
