vlHEREAS, the Kent Area Recreation Council, a Hashington
corporation, organized for the purpose of sponsoring youth
and community activities within the area of the City of Kent,
King County, Washington, has requested use of certain areas
of city property situated within the boundaries of Kent
Memorial Park, for presenting and scheduling regional play-
offs of the American Legion baseball games; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent, after
study and consideration of said request, find it to be reason-
able, proper and in the interests of the citizens of the City
of Kent;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the
City of Kent in regular meeting assembled, that the Kent Area
Activities Council be allowed to lease and use that area de-
signated as Ballfield No. 1 within the boundaries of Kent
Memorial Park in the City of Kent, King County, Washington,
from 10:00 A.M. to 8:00 P.M. on Saturday, Sunday and Monday,
July 25th, 26th and 27th, 1964; and it is further
RESOLVED that rental of said area for said times shall
be $1.00; and it is further
RESOLVED that additional consideration for said lease
and use shall be that said Kent Area Activities Council shall
assume full and complete responsibility for the conduct of said
activities in a. proper manner, consistent with conduct of
similar athletic activities and shall supervise the same for
enforcement of said requirements; and it is further
RESOLVED that as a further and additional condition for
said lease and use, said Kent Area Activities Council shall
obtain for the protection and benefit of itself and the City
of Kent, indemnity insurance coverage against liability oc-
casioned by the negligence of any participant, official or
representative of Kent Area Activities Council or the City of
Kent, in limits of not less than $50,000.00 per individual
or total maximum of $300,000.00, a copy of vJhich :?Olicy shall
be deposited with the office of the City Clerk of the City of
Kent prior to conduct of said activity.

The Kent Area Recreation Council, by its President and
Secretary, undersigned, does hereby accept the use of Ball-
field No. 1 of Kent Memorial Park according to the terms and
conditions of the foregoing Resolution. -
