RESOLUTION NO. -So I
WHEREAS, after due and deliberate study and negotia-
tion, the Health and Sanitation Committee of the Kent City
Council has presented to the Council of the City of Kent a
recommendation that the real property of Hartha Bevaart, a widow, 1

located in the County of King, City of Kent, State of Washington,:
be purchased by the City of Kent for the municipal purpose of
future expansion of setvage treatment facilities for the City of
Kent, and
WHEREAS, after discussion and studies, the City Council
of the City of Kent finds that the purchase of the said Martha
Bevaart real property is for aproper municipal purpose and that
the terms of said purchase are proper, and in line with the
fair market value of comparable real property located in a simi-
lar area,
NOH THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent in
a regular meeting assembled: That the Mayor and the City Clerk
are authorized to execute a real estate contract (a copy of
which is attached hereto and denominated "Exhibit A" and which
is incorporated herein by reference as though fully set forth)
wherein the City of Kent, a municipal corporation, agrees to
purchase that certain real property of Ma~tha Bevaart, a widow,

on the lst day of each month thereafter; provided that no more
than Forty-Seven Thousand Dollars ($47,000.00) shall be paid in
any event on principal during the calendar year, 1964, and during
the calendar year 1965, but that the entire contract balance, olus
accrued interest can be paid-off at any time after January 2, 1966
And be it further
RESOLVED, that the funds for the ini.tial do~·m-payment
and subsequent monthly payments be withdrawn from the City of
Kent Sewer Construction Fund and the Mayor and the City Clerk are
hereby authorized to execute a check in the amount of Forty-Seven •
Thousand, Five Hundred Dollars ($47,500.00) to said Martha
Bevaart, and be it further
RESOLVED, that the payments by the City of Kent under
said contract be made into an escrow fund into the First National
Bank of EnumclaH, Enumclaw, Hashington, under escrow instructions
as set forth in the attached Exhibit, denominated "Exhibit B",

RESOLVED, that upon the execution of the documents denomi
inated Exhibits A and B hereip, that the City Clerk cause this
Resolution, along with said documents, Exhibit A and B, to be .
filed in the King County Auditor's Office.·\
