1 WHEREAS, the Citv of Kent has made an application to
2 amend application No. 3037 of District No. 1, State of
3 Washington Department of Highwavs for a franchise for the install-
4 ation and extension of water lines for the City of Kent
5 upon certain highways and across certain highways of the State
6 of via shington; and
7 \vHEREAS, a franchise performance bond in the sum of an
8 additional Three Thousand ( $3,000.00) Dollars, making a total
9 of Six Thousand ($6,000.00)Dollars, ~st be provided to the State
10 of Washington by the City of Kent; and
11 ·wHEREAS, General Insurance Company of America is willing
12 to furnish such a bond, for an agre~d premium, upon the authorized
13 execution by the Iv'Iayor and the City Clerk of the City of ~ent of
14 said Company's application form No. S-6, and the indemnity agree-
15 ment thereon, and the franchise bond.
16 NOVJ, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
17 THE CITY OF KENT, in regular meeting assembled;
18 That the Mayor and the Citv Clerk of the City of Kent be
19 and thev are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf
20 of the City of Kent General Insurance Company of America Bond
21 Application Form S-6, together with the indemnity agreement there-
22 on, and they are further authorized and directed to execute on
23 behalf of the City said franchise bond to the State of Washington
24 in the sum of Three Thousand ($3,000.00) Dollars, on its
25 preparation and delivery by the said Company to the City for
26 execution.
