A Resolution of the City of Kent declaring the
intention of the City Council to improve certain
streets and avenues in the City by construction
and installation of water mains and fixing a time
and date for a hearing on this resolution
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Kent as follows:
Section 1. That it is the intention of the City Council of
the City of Kent to order the improvement of the following describ
streets and avenues within the City by the construction and instal
tion of the following described improvements.
By the installation of a 12 inch water main along with gate
valves, fire hydrants, fittings and other necessary appur-
tenances along the Lake Fenwick Road from the Reith Road
to the south line of the NEt of the NEt of Sec. 22, T22N,
R4E, W.M.
Section 2. For the reason that the installation of the street
improvements described in Section 1 of this Resolution will be of
special benefit to certain properties, it is the intention of
the City Council to levy assessment to pay in part the cost of
such improvement and that work necessary in connection therewith
and incidental thereto on all properties located within the
following boundaries.
Beginning at a point 1,141.35 ft. North and 853.19 ft. West
of the SE corner of the SE~ of Sec. 22, T22N,R4E,W.M., and
run thence Easterly parallel with the North line of the SE~fS t
of said Sec. 22,to a point in the East line of the J.L.Reith
Road and the true point of beginning for this description;
thence continuing Easterly parallel to the North line of
said SEt of the S~t to a point which is 135 ft. Northeasterly
at right angles to-the East line of the J.L. Reith Road;
thence Southerly, parallel to the East line of the J.L.Reith
Road and the Benson Road ~Lake Fenwick Road) to the South
line of the NEt of the NE~ of Sec. 27, T22N,R4E, ; thence
West, along said South line to a point which is 135 ft.
Northwesterly at right angles to the West line of the
Benson Road; thence Northerly, parallel to the West line of th
Benson Road to a point in a line drawn 135 ft. Southeasterly
at right angles and parallel to the Southeasterly line of the
J. L. Reith Road;thence Northeasterly, along said parallel lin
to a point drawn 90 ft.Southwesterly at right angles to the
West line of the Benson Road; thence Northerly parallel to the
Benson Road to the East line of the J.L. Reith Road; thence
Northerly along said East line of the J.L. Reith Road to the
true point of beginning.
Section 3. The estimated cost of the installation of the
above described improvements and the doing of all work necessary in
connection and incidental thereto is hereby declared to be

approximately $ ?o-1, 8if, / V , and it is the intention of
the City Council that such cost of the improvements to be borne
by the City of Kent is $1/J.,IJ.L~JV: and by assessments is $..::.11~-J-&-=--+-
levied in the manner required by law upon the real properties
by the proposed improvements.
Section 4. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit
to the City Council at or pior to the date fixed for the hearing
on this resolution a statement of the estimated cost and expense o
such improvements, the portion thereof that should be borne by the
property within the proposed district, a statement in detail of th
local improvement district assessments outstanding and unpaid
the property in the local improvement district, and all other data
and information required by law to be so submitted.
Section 5. All persons who may desire to be heard or object
to the formation of such district are hereby notified to appear
and present such objections to a meeting of the Kent City Council
to be held in the Council Chamber of the City Hall of Kent at
* 8:00 P.M. on , which time and place
are hereby fixed matters relating to said proposed
improvement and all objections thereto and for determining the
method of paying said improvements.
The City Clerk and City Engineer are hereby directed to prepa
and give notice of such hearing in the manner required by law.
PASSED by the City Council of City of Kent at its regular
