~1JHEREAS, the City of Kent has made an application under Ap:plication
Noo S-1482 to the State of Washington Department of Highways for a franchise

and across certain highways of the State of WashingtonJ and
WHER .. 'EAS, a franchise perforrnanc:e bond in the sum of One-tjmusand
($1,000o00) Dollars must be provided to the State of ~lashington by the City
of Kent; and
WHEREAS, General Insurance Company of America is willing to furnish
such a bond, for an agreed premium, upon the authorized execution by the Mayor
and the City Clerk of the City cf Kent af said Canpany' s ap:plication form
No. s-6, a.nd the indemnity agreement thereon, and the franchise bond,
NOW, THEREF<RE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCJL OF THE CITY CF miT
in regular meeting assembleEi:
That the Mayor and City Clerk of the Cizy of Kent be and they are hereby
authorized and directed to execute on behalf of the City of Kent General
Insurance Company of America Bond Application Form S-6, together with the
indemnity agreement thereon, and they are further authorized and directed to
execute on behalf of the City said franchise bond to the State of Washington
in the sum of One-Thousand ($1,000o00) Dollars, upon its preparation and
delivery by the said oompany to the City for executiono
