WHEREAS, the City of Kent has made an application under
Application No. C.S.l738 to the State of Washington Department
of Highways for a franchise for the installation of water line
for the City of Kent upon certain highways and across certain
highways of the State of Washington; and
WHEREAS, a franchise p~rformance bond in the sum of One-
thousand ($l,OOO.OO)Dollars must be provided to the State of
Washington by the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, General Insurance Company of America is willing
to furnish such a bond, for an agreed premium, upon the authorize
execution by the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Kent of
said company's application form No. s-6, and the indemnity agre~
ment thereon, and the franchise bond,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF KENT in regular meeting assembled:
That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Kent be and
they are hereb; authorieed and directed to execute on behalf of
the City of Kent General Insurance Company of America Bond
Application Form S-6, together with the indemnity agreement
thereon, and they are further authorized and directed to execute
on behalf of the City said franchise bond to the State of Washing
ton in the sum of One-thousand ($l,OOO.OO)Dollars, upon its
preparation and delivery by the said company to the City for ex~
tion.
