WHEREAS, the City of Kent has made an application under
pplication No. 3037 to the State of Washington Department of
ighways for a franchise for the installation of water lines for
he City of Kent, upon certain highways and across certain highways
f the State of Washington; and
WHEREAS, a franchise performance bond in the sum of Three-
.1 housand ($3,000.00) Dollars must be provided to the State of
ashington by the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, General Insurance Company of America is willing to
urnish such a bond, for an agreed premium, upon the authorized
xecution by the Mayor and the City Clerk of the City of Kent
f said company • s application fovrn No. }i'S-6, and the indemnity
greement thereon, and the franchise bond,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
ITY OF KENT in regular meeting assembled:
That the Mayor and City Clerk of the City of Kent be and
hey are hereby authorized and directed to execute on behalf of
he City of Kent General Insurance Company of America Bond
pplication Form S-6, together with the indemnity agreement thereon,
nd they are further authorized and directed to execute on behalf
f the City said franchise bond to the State of Washington in the
urn of Three-thousand-($3,000.00)Dollars, upon its preparation and
elivery by the said company to the City for execution.
PASSED in regular meeting this 16th day of January, 1961.
