A RESOLUTION of the City Council
of the City of Kent, Washington direct-
ing the City Administrator to appoint
a Safety Committee.
WHEREAS it is the intention of the City Council
to reduce accidents wherein City equipment and employees are
involved, and
WHEREAS the carriers of the liability insurance
for the City recommend utilization of a Safety Committee, NOW,
THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON
DO HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section l. The City Administrator is directed
to appoint a Safety Committee for the purpose of developing
safety standards, and investigating every accident wherein a
City owned vehicle or piece of equipment is involved, and
every accident wherein City personnel, while on duty, are in-
volved.
Section 2. The City Administrator shall deter-
mine the membership of the Committee, who shall be City em-
ployees. All City departments shall, when requested by the
City Administrator, recommend an employee for membership on
the Safety Committee.
PASSED at a regular meeting of the Kent City
Council this 18th day of December, 1978.
