HomeMy WebLinkAbout812RESOLUTION NO. A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington regard- ing vacation of a certain street or portion thereof in the City of Kent. WHEREAS, a proper petition has been filed requesting vacation of a portion of West Willis Street, a dedicated street in the City of Kent, described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by reference made a part hereof as if fully set forth herein, NOW, THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO HEREBY RESOLVE: Section 1. That the hearing on the aforesaid vaca- tion shall be at a regular meeting of the Kent City Council to be held at 8 o'clock p.m., October 18, 1976 in the Council Chambers in Kent City Hall, Kent, Washington. Section 2. The City Clerk shall give proper notice of the hearing and cause the notice to be posted as provided by law. Section 3. The Planning Director shall obtain the necessary written approval or rejection of the Water, Sewer and Street Departments and shall transmit said information to the City Council so the matter can be considered by the City Council at the regular meeting of October 18, 1976. " A LEGAL FOR WILLIS STREET VACATION That portion of West Willis Street lying within the Southwest quarter of Section 24, Township 22 North, Range 4 E.W.M. defined as follows: Beginning at the intersection of the north line of said street with the westerly margin of P. S. H. #5 (Valley Freeway) being true point of beginning of street herein described; thence westerly along the northerly margin of said street 320 feet; thence southerly parallel with the west margin of said freeway to the south margin of said street; thence northeasterly along said south margin to the westerly margin of said freeway; thence northwesterly along westerly margin of said freeway to the true point of beginning. Reserving, however, to the City of Kent a utility easement including storm drainage.
