RESOLUTION NO. ~
A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, approving application for Referendum
29 funds and appointing the Mayor of the City
of Kent as the contact person for Referendum
29 purposes.
WHEREAS, the City of Kent has determined to construct
a multi purpose center in the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, construction of such a center will require
financial assistance from funding sources outside the City, and
WHEREAS, Referendum 29 funds are available for such
purposes, NOW, THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE:
1. That proper application be made to the State
of Washington Department of Social and Health
Services for Referendum 29 funding in the
amount of $448,500.00 for construction of a
multi purpose center in the City of Kent.
2. That the City shall contribute as its matching
share of the Referendum 29 funding the sum of
$149,500.00 in cash or approved "in kind"
financing.
3. That the Mayor of the City of Kent be desig-
nated as the "contact person" for Referendum
29 purposes.
PASSED at a Regular Meeting of the Kent City Council
this 15th day of March, 1976.
