WBBRBAS, Councilman ALBX THORNTON concluded his term of
office on December 3, 1973, and
WIIBUAS, ALEX THOMTON has previously devoted many long
and fruitful years to the public service of the City of Kent for
which the citizens of the City of Xent are indebted to him, and
WHEREAS, the Mayor and the City Council of the City of
Kent on their own behalf and on behalf of the citizens of the City
wish to acknowledge the contribution ALEX THORNTON has made to the
City durinq his term as Interim-Councilman from October 2, 1972 to
December l, 1973, and to thank him for coming forward at a time
when an experienced hand was needed, NOW, THEREFORE, be it
RESOLVED that the citizens of the City of Kent, Washington
by and through their Mayor and City Council do hereby extend to
ALEX THORN70N their thanks for his agreeing to return to public
service and for his efforts on their behalf during that period.
PASSED at a Regular Meeting of the Kent City council
