A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, supporting the principles of the "Metro Transit Plan" and urging its implementation at the earli- est possible date. WHEREAS, the muncipality of Metropolitan Seattle together with the Puget Sound Governmental Conference, have heretofore undertaken extensive studies and investigation of the feasibility of providing efficient and reasonable transit service to the residents of King County, and their consultants, Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendenhall, having heretofore pre- pared and submitted plans, feasibility study and like data, and WHEREAS, it has been determined and the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, has found that such proposed transit service would be of substantial benefit to the public and especially to the citizens of Kent who are urgently in need of improved, regular and reasonable transportation, NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. The City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, hereby finds and determines that the proposed "Metro Transit Plan" as heretofore presented, is proper, reasonable and of benefit to the general public and especially to the citizens of Kent, in providing regular, efficient and inexpensive transportation to the public. The City of Kent hereby goes on record in fully supporting the principles of such plan and urges its implementation at the earliest possible date. -1- this ~SSED at a regular meeting of the (J ' day of~~"(} , 1972.
