A RESOLUTION of the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, authorizing
the filing of an application with the
Economic Development Administration, u.s.
Department of Commerce, United States of
America, for a grant and/or loan under
the terms of Public Law 89-136 as amended.
WHEREAS, under the terms of Public Law 89-136 as
amended, the United States of America has authorized making
of grants and/or loans to public bodies and private or pub-
lic non-profit organizations or associations to aid in
financing the construction of specific public projects,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council
of the City of Kent, Washington that ISABEL HOGAN, MAYOR, is
hereby authorized to execute and file an application on behalf
of the City of Kent with the Economic Development Administration,
U. S. Department of Commerce, and/or the Economic Assistance
Authority, Washington State Department of Commerce and Economic
Development, for a grant and/or loan to aid in financing the
construction of South 228th Street Sanitary sewer, water main
and minimal street improvement of 88th Avenue South in the City
of Kent, and it is further
RESOLVED, that Glen W. Sherwood, City Engineer of the
City of Kent, is hereby authorized and directed to furnish such
information as the Economic Development Administration, u. S.
Department of Commerce, and/or Economic Assistance Authority,
Washington State Department of Commerce and Economic Develop-
ment, may reasonably request in connection with the applica-
tion which is herein authorized to be filed.
