M A RESOLUTION of the City.Council of the City of Kent, Washington, declaring its intention to improve West Gowe Street from South 4th Avenue to South 6th Avenue and South 6th Avenue from West Gowe Street to West Meeker Street by constructing approximately 1115 lineal feet of two lane street, which will vary in width from 34 feet to 40 feet between curbs, and which will include asphalt concrete pavement, cement concrete curbing and gutters, cement concrete sidewalks, storm drains, illumination, landscaping, underground power and communication systems, and an improved railroad crossing with cantilever signal lights, and to create a local improvement district to assess the cost and expense of carrying out such improvement against the property specially benefited thereby: and notifying all persons who des ire to object to the project to appear and present their objections ~ a meeting of the City Council to be held on ~br~'""'~ 1:J ttlf1~ . BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, as follows: Section 1. It is the intention of the Council of the City of Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the property described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, all within the City of Kent, Washington, by improving West Gowe Street from South 4th Avenue to South 6th Avenue and South 6th Avenue from West Gowe Street to West Meeker Street by constructing approximately 1115 lineal feet of two lane street, which will vary in width from 34 feet to 40 feet between curbs, and which will include asphalt concrete pavement, cement concrete curbing and gutters, cement concrete sidewalks, storm drains, illumination, landscaping, underground power and communication systems, and an improved railroad crossing with cantilever signal lights. All of the foregoing shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer. The City reserves the right to make changes in such improvement as long as such changes do not materially affect the purpose of the improvement. Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the improve- ment is hereby declared to be $214,180.00 of which it is estimated that $31,400.00 shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by the improvement to be included in a local improvement district to be established embracing as near as may be all property specially benefited by the improvement. Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improve- ment herein described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall, Kent, Washington, at~:OO o'clock p.m. (PST} on ~t.br~A""11J 1/fll, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all matters relating to the proposed improvement, and all objections thereto, and for determining the method of payment for that improvement. Section 4. The City Engineer is hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to f,. br~-."'1 1 ~~~~ , all data and informa- tion required by law to be submitted.
