A Resolution of the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, proclaiming
April, 1971, as Kent Clean-up Month.
WHE~EAS, the citizens, businessmen and residents have
expressed and have demonstrated a sincere interest in having an
attractive city and
WHEREAS, the improved appearance of Kent is an adopted
goal of the City Council of the City of Kent and,
WHEREAS, cooperation from several organizations, City
government and citizens has produced favorable results in past
clean-up campaigns, and
HHEREAS, the environmental affairs committee of the
Greater Kent Area Chamber of Commerce has organized and will
coordinate a progra~ to clean-up Kent during April, 1971.
THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, pledges its support and resources to
participate in the Kent Clean-up Month campaign, April, 1971.
AND FURTHER, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the
City of Kent urge all its citizens to take an active role in the
clean-up campaign.
PASSED AND ADOPTED at a regular meeting of the City
Council of the City of Kent held on the 5th day of April, 1971.
