A Resolution of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, adopting the Official Tree Planting
List of the City of Kent.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Kent has
reviously enacted Ordinance No. 1703, commonly referred to as
the "Street Tree Ordinance", and
WHEREAS, Section 2 (3) of said Ordinance provides that
the City Council shall adopt an Official Tree Planting List follow-
ing certain action by the Park Board of the City, and
WHEREAS, the Park Board at its regular meeting on
"ebruary 11, 1971, did approve the initial Official Tree Planting
ist, now, therefore,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE that the Official Tree Planting List of the City of
Kent shall be as follows:
(1) Acer Plantanoides 'Crimson King' -Norway
Maple Crimson King
(2) Aesculus Carnea -Red Horse-Chestnut
(3) Betula Pendula -European White Birch
(4) Crataegus Oxycantha 'PauJi' -Paul's Double
Scarlet Hawthorn
(5) Ginkgo Biloba -Maidenhair Tree
(6) Gleditsia Tricanthos Inermis 'Moraine' -
Honey Locust
(7) Liquidambar Styraciflua -American Sweetgum
(8) Plantanus Acerifolia -London Plane Tree
(9) Prunus Blireiana -Flowering Plum
(10) Prunnus Cerasifera 'Pissardi' -Purple-Leaf Plum
(11) Prunus Cerasifera 'Thundercloud' -Flowering Plum
(12) Prunus Serrulata 'Kwanzan' -Oriental Cherry
(13) Prunus 'Sargenti' -Sargent Cherry
(14) Prunus Serrulata 'Amanogawa' -Amanogawa Cherry
