HomeMy WebLinkAbout6831 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 RESOLUTION NO. ~ 8 ~ WHEREAS, the matter of traffic safety is of paramount concern to the citizens of this city, and WHEREAS, more persons have been killed upon the highways of the United States than in all of the W?rs ln which this country has been involved, and \.VHEREAS, the cost to the country in terms of property damage, lives lost, persons permanently disabled and families destroyed runs into the billions of dollars, and WHEREAS, a concerted effort has been mounted in this state to reduce the terrible toll resulting from traffic accidents, NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, does by Resolution adopted this 16th day of November, 1970, in regular session, express its support for and endorse- ment of the traffic safety and education program recently initiated in this state and endorsed by the Washington State Patro , Washington State Safety Commission and Washington Newspaper 16 Publishers Association. 17 18 19 20 21 '22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 ATTEST: FORM: r,,O:~D A: ~0 "kJ~ f,_rw DONALD E.
