CITY OF KENT I WASHINGTON
RESOLUTION NO. ~s t
A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City
of Kent, Washington, declaring its intention to
improve a part of the City by constructing and
installing a system of 8 and 10 inch sewer lines
and a sewer lift station, and to create a local
improvement district to assess the cost and
expense of carrying out such improvement against
the property specially benefited thereby; and
notifying all persons who desire to object to the
project to appear and present their objections at a
meeting of the City Council to be held on October
51 1970.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT 1
WASHINGTON 1 as follows:
Section l. It is the intention of the Council of the City of
Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the property within the City
of Kent, Washington, described in Exhibit A 1 attached hereto and by this
reference made a part hereof, by the improvement described in Exhibit B,
attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof.
Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the improve-
mentis declared to be $490,000.00. The City anticipates receiving grants
in the estimated amount of $178,000.00 to pay part of the cost of the improve-
ment and anticipates that the City shall pay an additional part of the cost
of the improvement from other mone~ts available for that purpose, the amount
thereof to be determined at the time the ordinance ordering the improvement
is adopted. The balance of the actual cost and expense of the improvement
(after applying the grants and the City's payment), now estimated to be
$2 70,000.00, shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially
benefited by such improvement to be included in a local improvement district
to be established embracing as near as may be all property specially benefited
by such improvement.
Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improve-
ment her~in described are hereby notified to appear and present such objections
at a meeting of the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the
City Hall, Kent, Washington, at 7:00 o'clock p.m. (PDST), on October 5,
19 70, which time and place are hereby fixed for hearing all rna tters relating
to the proposed improvement, and all objections thereto, and for determining
the method of payment for that improvement.
Section 4. Hill, Ingman, Chase & Co., consulting engineers,
are hereby directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to October 5,
19 70, all data and information required by law to be submitted.
The foregoing resolution was ADOPTED by the City Council of
the City of Kent, Washington, and APPROVED by the Mayor, at a regular
meeting thereof this 8th day of September, 1970.
