RESOLUTION NO. ~ 11 __::<_____:. __
A RESOLUTION designating the Mayor
as Project Administrator under Grant Agree-
ment of June 18, 1970.
WHEREAS, the City of Kent organized and existing under
and by virtue of the laws of the State of Washington, (herein called
"the Applicant"), has heretofore submitted an application to the
United States of America, acting by and through the Secretary of
Housing and Urban Development (herein called the "Government"),
for a grant under Section 702 of the Housing and Urban Development
Act of 1965, for the purposes designated in the said application;
and
WHEREAS, the Government has previously approved said
application, and the Applicant, by Resolution No. 675, adopted
at regular meeting July 6, 1970, authorized the .Mayor to execute
a Grant Agreement dated June 18, 1970; and
WHEREAS, the Mayor has executed said Grant Agreement;
and
~VHEREAS, the Applicant has been informed that it is
necessary to appoint a suitable person as administrator for the
project with authority to sign all necessary documents in further-
ance of the project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of
the Applicant that the Mayor is hereby designated as Project Admin-
istrator and is hereby granted the necessary authority to sign all
proper documents in furtherance of the project covered by the
Grant Agreement heretofore referred to.
ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Kent, Wash-
ington, at its regular meeting held August 3, 1970.
