HomeMy WebLinkAbout6681 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 RESOLUTION NO. {;& f WHEREAS, the orderly development of the Green River Valley has been hampered by the lack of satisfactory system for the disposal of surface waters; and WHEREAS, the mental, physical and moral well-being of the citizens of this area will be enhanced by an increase in the availability of adequate community facilities for library, recre- ational and social purposes; and WHEREAS, there is a demonstrable need for improved jail facilities in King County and for better community public health 10 services; and 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26 27 28 29 30 WHEREAS, all of the above needs may be realized through the issuance and sale of public bonds by King County at a nominal cost to the taxpayers of the County; and WHEREAS, there will be an election on May 19th, 1970, at which time the voters may vote to authorize the County to issue and sell such bonds; now, therefore, it is hereby RESOLVED that the Kent City Council meeting in regular session this 4th day of May, 1970, do endorse all three ballot propositions referring to storm sewers, community centers and libraries and law enforcement and public health facilities which the voters of this area will vote upon in the May 19, 1970 election, commonly referred to as the Forward Thrust Election. .,~\ I ·/; t: (7 -~ ,./ -c- .
