A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, amending the City's
Corrprehensive Plan by changing the area
designation in six areas within the East Valley
Floor.
WHEREAS, changes to the Valley Floor Subarea Plan, a part
of the Comprehensive Plan and Map, changing certain designations
in six areas within the East Valley were recorrrrended to the
Planning Commission~ and
WHERFAS, in accordance with the provisions of Chapter
35A.63.073 of the Revised Code of Washington, hearings were held
before the Planning Commission of the City of Kent on April 25,
1988 and ~ay 23, 1988 to consider the proposed changes~ and
WHEREAS, after the final hearing of the Planning
Commission and its final deliberations, the proposed ame~dme~ts
were recommended to the City Council for adoption; and
WHEREAS, the City Council considered the recomme~dations
of the Planning Commission at a public rreeting on June 7, 1988;
NCvi, THERFFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THF CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DCFS
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The Kent Valley Comprehensive Plan Map is
amended to change the designation for areas #1-6 as indicated on
Appendix A -"Valley Floor Plan Map -East Valley area"
incorporated herein by reference as follows:
a. Amend Area #l designation from Industrial to
Industrial Park.
b. Amend Area #2 designation from Industrial to
Commercial.
c. Amend Area #3 designation from Industrial to
Commercial.
d. A~end Area #4 designation from Residential
Agricultural to Office.
e. Amend Area #5 designation fro~ Residential
Agricultural to Single Family Residential.
f. Amend Area #6 designation fro~ Residential
Agricultural to Multi-Family Reside~tial.
All use designations are defined in the Kent Zoning
Code.
Section 2. The City of Kent Co~prehensive Plan, Valley
Floor Subarea Plan and their appendices and ~aps are a~ended to
provide that all references to said areas #1-6 shall be in
conformity with the changes in those area designations as set out
in Section One.
Section 3. The amend~ents to the Comprehensive Plan,
Valley Floor Subarea Plan, and associated Map a~endrrents shall be
filed with the City Clerk and in the office of the Planning
Department and made available for public inspection upon reauest.
