A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, establishing target
issues for 1987.
WHEREAS, in November 1984, the City Council met to
develop a vision of the future for the City of Kent, and to
develop a list of target issues; and
WHEREAS, this original list of target issues included 33
items, of which 15 target issues were prioritized and 5 additional
projects then in progress were further identified; and
WHEREAS, the City council again met in January, 1987 to
reassess the 1985 and 1986 target issues and prioritize and
develop additional target issues; and
WHEREAS, action on the target issues will not likely be
completed during 1987 but the issues will provide a guide for
allocating the Council's time and for focusing its attention; and
WHEREAS, the process of adoption of target issues is a
dynamic one, and from time to time, as projects are accomplished
or other priorities arise, issues may be added while others may be
deleted; and
WHEREAS, target issues, as adopted herein, shall be
posted throughout the City Hall as a reminder to the City and as
information to the public; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The following target issues are adopted for
