L/08 A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, declaring its intention to order street improvements and related appurtenances on 72nd Avenue S. from S. 182nd Street to S. 186th Street within the City, and to create a local improvement district to assess the cost and expense of carrying out such improvements against the properties spe- cially benefited thereby, and notifying all persons who desire to object to the improvements to appear and present their objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held on July 21, 1986. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, as follows: Section l. It is the intention of the City Council of the City of Kent, Washington, to order the improvement of the prop- erties within the area described in Exhibit A, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof, by the installation of approximately 1200 linear feet of roadway and related appurte- nances on 72nd Avenue S. from S. 182nd Street to S. l86th Street within the City as described in Exhibit B, attached hereto and by this reference made a part hereof. All of the foregoing improvements shall be in accordance with the plans and specifications therefor prepared by the City Engineer and may be modified by the City as long as such modification does not affect the purpose of the improvements. Section 2. The total estimated cost and expense of the improvements is declared to be $167,591.58 and the entire cost and expense of such improvements shall be borne by and assessed against the property specially benefited by such improvements to be included in a local improvement district to be established embracing as nearly as practicable all the property specially benefited by the improvements. Section 3. All persons who may desire to object to the improvements described herein are notified to appear and present such objections at a hearing before the City Council to be held in the Council Chambers in the City Hall in Kent, Washington, at 7:00p.m., local time, on July 21, 1986, which time and place are fixed for hearing all matters relating to the proposed improvements and all objections thereto and for determining the method of payment for those improvements. All persons who may desire to object thereto should appear and present their objec- tions at such hearing. Any person who may desire to file a written protest with the City Council may do so within thirty days after the date of passage of the ordinance ordering the improvements in the event the local improvement district is formed. Such written protest should be signed by the property owner, should include the legal description of the property for which the protest is filed and should be delivered to the City Clerk. Section 4. The City's Director of Public Works is directed to submit to the City Council on or prior to July 21, 1986, all data and information required by law to be submitted. the day Passed at a regular public meeting by the City Council of City of Kent, Washington, this /d' day of June, 1986. STREET IMPROVEMENTS EXHIBIT "B" 72nd Avenue S. Street Improvement (182nd to 186th) Description: Includes the installation of approximately 1200 LF of roadway which will include the following features: 1. Two lanes, 22 feet roadway width 2. Six feet shoulders 3. Storm drainage system 4. Signing 5. Pavement markings 6. Hydroseeding unpaved areas These improvements shall be installed from the intersection of S. 182nd Street and 72nd Avenue S. south to the existing fully-improved portion of 72nd Avenue S. at approximately the S. 186th block, approximately 450 LF north of S. 188th Street.
