A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington naming the Japanese
garden park at Meeker Street and First Avenue,
Kaibara Park, in continuing recognition of the
City of Kent's Sister City.
WHEREAS, the City of Kent has created a Japanese garden
park at Meeker Street and First Avenue in the City of Kent; and
WHEREAS, the City through the Kent Kaibara Club maintains
a sister city relationship with Kaibara, Japan; and
WHEREAS, it is appropriate to name the Japanese garden in
honor of the Sister City: and
WHEREAS, the City further acknowledges the assistance and
cooperation of the Pacific Northwest Koi Club: NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Kent park at Meeker Street and
First Avenue is named and shall hereafter be known as Kaibara Park.
Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Kent Washington this ~day of ~ 1985.
