A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington establishing Target
Issues for 1985 and 1986.
WHEREAS, in November, 1984, the City Council met to
develop a vision of the future for the City of Kent, and to
develop a list of target issues; and
WHEREAS, the original list of target issues included 33
items of which 15 target issues were prioritized and five
additional projects now in progress were further identified; and
WHEREAS, the target issues identified will be reviewed
quarterly by the City Council and the Council will further meet
from time to time to determine what action steps are necessary to
implement the higher priority target issues: and
WHEREAS, action on all target issues will not likely be
completed during 1985, but the issues will provide a guide for
allocating the Council 1 s time and for focusing their attention; and
WHEREAS, the process of adoption of target issues is a
dynamic one, and from time to time as projects are accomplished or
other priorities arise, issues may be added while other issues may
be deleted; and
WHEREAS, target issues, as adopted herein; shall be
posted throughout City Hall as a reminder to the City and as
information to the public; NOW THEREFORE
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
