A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent,
Washington regarding vacation of a portion of
an alley between South Bridges Street and South
Central Avenue and South of Willis Street, and
setting a public hearing for January 7, 1985.
WHEREAS, a proper petition has been filed requesting a
vacation of a portion of an alley between South Bridges Street and
South Central Avenue and South of Willis Street, more particularly
described as follows:
That portion of the north and south alley in
Block 4, of the original plat of the Town of
Kent, described as follows: Beginning at the
northeast corner of Lot 1 of said Block 4,
thence south along the east line of Lots. 1 and
4 of said Block 4, a distance of 120 feet;
thence east 20 feet, thence north 16 feet,
thence west 15 feet, thence north parallel to
the east lines of said Lots 1 and 4, 104 feet
to the south line of Willis Street, thence west
5 feet to the point of beginning.
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That a public hearing on the aforesaid
vacation petition shall be at a regular meeting of the Kent City
Council to be held at 7:00p.m., January 7, 1985 in the Council
Chambers i n C i ty H a 11 , Kent , Wash i n g ton .
Section 2. The City Clerk shall give proper notice of
the hearing and cause the notice to be posted as provided by law.
Section 3. The Planning Director shall obtain the
necessary approval or rejection of, or other information from, the
Water, Street, and Sewer Departments and shall transmit said
information to the City Council so that the matter can be
considered by the City Council at a regular meeting on January 7,
1985.
