A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, declaring Department
of Public Works (utility) property located in
Kent at 520 Guiberson to be surplus to the
City's needs and not required for continued
public utility services; and setting a public
hearing pursuant to the RCW 35.94.040.
WHEREAS, the City Council confirmed the Public Works
Committee recommendation to declare the following described vacant
real property situated in King County, Washington, as surplus to the
City's needs and not required for providing continued public utility
services:
and;
Lots 1 and 2, Block 13, Washington Central
Improvement Company's Nob Hill addition to
Kent, recorded in Volume 5 of Plats, page 97,
in King County, Washington, subject to an
outstanding lease until 5/31/91.
WHEREAS, RCW 35.94.040 requires a public hearing before
the City may cause such property to be sold and conveyed; and
WHEREAS, an appraisal in the amount of $20,000 has been
obtained by the Department of Public Works; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT,
WASHINGTON:
Section 1. The following described vacant real property
situated in King County, washington:
Lots 1 and 2, Block 13, Washington Central
Improvement company's Nob Hill addition to
Kent, recorded in Volume 5 of Plats Page 97 in
King county, Washington.
Acquired by the City pursuant to City Council action at a regularly
scheduled meeting on June 21, 1920, is no longer required for
continued public utility service and is surplus to the City's needs.
Section 2. A public hearing is set for the 1st day of
August 1983 at 7:00 p.m. in the Kent City Hall.
Section 3. Notices of said hearing shall be placed at
three conspicuous locations on or adjacent to the subject property
and published in the City's official newspaper.
