A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent, Washington
relating to King County Forward Thrust Park
Funds (Lower Green River Trail).
WHEREAS, the City of Kent is desirous of acquiring park
and open space property for the Lower Green River Trail: and
WHEREAS, there are monies available for said purposes
under the King County Forward Thrust Program; and
WHEREAS, King County is willing to make such monies
available to the City of Kent, and the City of Kent is willing to
accept such monies from King County: NOW THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. The City of Kent be and hereby is authorized
to accept monies from King County pursuant to the King County
Forward Thrust Program.
Section 2. The money shall be used by the City solely
for the purchase and acquisition of park and open space property
for the Lower Green River Trail.
Section 3. The City in accepting and using any such
monies shall adhere to all rules and regulations prescribed in
King County Resolution 34571.
Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
City of Kent Washington this~ day of March 1983.
