HomeMy WebLinkAbout984RESOLUTION NO. ~ A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent, Washington, regarding vacation of a portion of South 202nd Street in the Northeast one quarter of the Southwest one quarter of Section 1, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., and more particularly described as that portion of South 202nd Street, (60 feet wide), formerly Nelson Avenue in King county, Washington, lying westerly of the Puget sound Electric Railroad right-of-way (100 feet wide) and Easterly of a line which is parallel to and 30 feet Easterly of the Westerly line of said Northeast one quarter of the southwest one quarter of Section 1, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., as said street and avenue is shown on the Plat of O'Brien Station Garden Tracts No. 2 as recorded in Volume 15 of Plats on Page 66 King County Records; and setting a public hearing for January 17, 1983. WHEREAS a proper petition has been filed requesting vacation of a portion of South 202nd Street, described as follows: The Northeast one quarter of the Southwest one quarter of Section 1, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., and more particularly described as that portion of South 202nd Street, (60 feet wide), formerly Nelson Avenue in King county, Washington, lying Westerly of the Puget Sound Electric Railroad right-of-way (100 feet wide) and Easterly of a line which is parallel to and 30 feet Easterly of the Westerly line of said Northeast one quarter of the Southwest one quarter of Section 1, Township 22 North, Range 4 East, W.M., as said street and avenue is shown on the Plat of O'Brien station Garden Tracts No. 2 as recorded in Volume 15 of Plats on Page 66 King County Records; more particuarly described in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; NOW THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS: Section 1. That a public hearing on the aforesaid vacation petition shall be at a regular meeting of the Kent City Council to be held at 7:00p.m., January 17, 1983, in the Council Chambers in City Hall, Kent, washington. Section 2. The City Clerk shall give proper notice of the hearing and cause the notice to be posted as provided by law. Section 3. The Planning Director shall obtain the necessary approval or rejection of, or other information from, the water, street, and sewer departments and shall transmit said information to the City Council so that the matter can be considered by the City Council at a regular meeting on January 17, 1983.
