A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF KENT, WASHINGTON, relating to rejection of the bids
received on February 12, 1982 for the Vertical Turbine,
Pump, Meter and Control valves for the Seven Oaks Plat
well.
WHEREAS, bids for the Vertical Turbine Pump, Meter and Control Valves
for the Seven Oaks Plat well were opened on February 12, 1982, and
WHEREAS, the low bidder is not willing to execute a contract which
includes a liquidated damages clause, and
WHEREAS, the City had originally intended to award one contract for
the entire project; however, in the interest of time determined to award a
separate contract for materials, and
WHEREAS, the delay experienced in executing such a contract has
diminished the potential time savings, and
WHEREAS, the call for bids on the contract for the facilities installation
is scheduled shortly,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DO HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section 1o The bids received on February 12, 1982 for the Vertical
Turbine Pump, Meter and Control Valves for the Seven Oaks Plat well shall
be rejected.
Section 2. The call for bids for the vertical turbine pump, meter and
control valves shall be included in the call for bids for the facilities
installation. ~·~
