WHEREAS, Section 5 of Chapter 276, Laws of 1981, requires
that cities and counties receiving state funding for meeting
physical plant standards for jails to certify their intention
that facilities built meet all mandatory custodial care stan-
dards upon opening; now therefore
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT:
That the City of Kent hereby certifies in accordance with
Section 5 of Chapter 276, Laws of 1981, that it will fully com-
ply with all mandatory custodial care standards in the jail
facility which has been provided state funding at such time
that facility opens to house prisoners.
