A RESOLUTION of the City of Kent,
Washington, prohibiting filing of applica-
tions for rezones, conditional use permits
and annexations in that part of the City
commonly known as the East Hill area pend-
ing public hearings on the possibility of
declaring a freeze on such applications un-
til completion of the revised East Hill Plan
portion of the City's Comprehensive Plan.
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that contin-
uation of the present development pattern of that part of the
City commonly known as the East Hill area may not be in the best
interests of the citizens of the City of Kent, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined to hold a pub-
lic hearing or hearings to determine whether a freeze on rezones,
conditional use permits and annexations should be imposed in the
East Hill area pending revision of the East Hill portion of the
City's Comprehensive Plan, and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that no new
applications for rezones, conditional use permits or annexations
should be accepted pending public hearing or hearings, and

THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON, DO
HEREBY RESOLVE:
Section 1. That from and after January 19, 1981 no
application for rezone, conditional use permit or annexation
shall be accepted by the City of Kent for that part of the City
known as the East Hill area and which is described on Exhibit "A"
attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference.
Section 2. That the prohibition against application
for rezones, conditional use permits and annexations shall con-
tinue in effect until the City has held public hearings to deter-
mine whether the prohibition should be extended for a time cer-
tain pending revision of the East Hill Plan portion of the City's
Comprehensive Plan.
Section 3. The first public hearing to determine
whether the prohibition should be extended shall be held at
8 o'clock p.m. February ~: 1981 in the City Council Chambers.
