A RESOLUTION of the City Council of the
City of Kent, Washington, relating to school
impact fees.
WHEREAS, the Growth Management Act allows for the
implementation of school impact fees; and
WHEREAS, an annexation petition has been filed with the
City of Kent to annex an area of land east of the City up to and
including the Lake Meridian area; and
WHEREAS, King County has an impact fee ordinance in
place, and annexation of this area would result in loss of
funding to the Kent School District; and
WHEREAS, the City Council would like to consider the
issue of school impact fees; NOW, THEREFORE,
THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KENT, WASHINGTON DOES
HEREBY RESOLVE AS FOLLOWS:
Section 1. That Administration prepare and present to
Council a school impact fee ordinance proposal for consideration.
Passed at a regular meeting of the City Council of the
